Manchester energy plant to create more than 100 green jobs, say experts

More than 100 green jobs could be created in Manchester if plans to open a new facility are agreed.

Peel Energy has announced it would like to open the Barton Renewable Energy Plant in Trafford, close to the Manchester Ship Canal.

A public consultation will take place and permission will be sought from Trafford and Salford Councils, the Highways Agency and the Environment Agency.
