Those who access charity jobs may agree with the comments of an expert, who said that such roles are vital in combating the scourge of domestic violence.
Deborah McIlveen, policy manager at Women's Aid, England, highlighted the reasons why it is essential for everyone to get behind measures to protect women from abuse.
She commented: "Everybody needs to speak out against domestic violence, particularly people in positions of power such as the prime minister - from national level down to a local level."
Ms McIlveen went on to add: "Domestic violence is very devastating."
Government efforts to curb the problem could also prove invaluable, she noted.
Trainee teachers might also benefit if they were given appropriate support in dealing with matters for sexual harassment, for example.
Previously, the Home Office announced an initiative - called the Together We Can End Violence Against Women and Girls Strategy - which will enforce education in schools regarding how to prevent such abuses.
